Halloween

   online game

Halloween is not only a funny holiday but also a great opportunity for team building among students ranging from small kids to adults. Here is a script which will help to celebrate Halloween!

Script

The kids enter the hall where the party will take place. The room is decorated with ghouls and scary creatures, candles burn everywhere. At the entrance they are given pumpkins and black cats (this way they're divided in 2 teams)
Speaker: Welcome to our sabbath! To day we're going to celebrate the most frightening and funniest holiday of Halloween! At first, let's go through the Haunted House! (http://cfl.ctu.edu.vn/learningresource/kids/games/hh/level1.swf
Halloween has an interesting tradition which is called Trick-or-Treat! According to it children in fancy costumes come to someone's house, knock on the door and cry Trick-or-Treat! The house owner has to give candy to small monsters or he'll be in BIG trouble! Let's see what will happen to those who break this rule!

What happened to Donald Duck? (1) the witch scared him with ghouls; 2) put a spell on his feet and he punished himself; 3) she made him break the door of his store room and the kids took the candy)
On this holiday it's really important to keep monsters happy! So, let's arrange a fest for them! Pumpkins and Black Cats, come up to your tables! (kids and their parents come up to the tables with food: red jam, crackers, zephyr, cookies, sweet condensed milk, chocolate, nuts, raisins, prunes, etc. There's also some cutlery there: knives, forks, spoons, napkins
Make a dish that our monsters will like! 
Kids and their parents create scary dishes. The speaker chooses the winner.
Now, who will eat their dish fastest and treat others!
The kids eat and treat others, drink tea or water. While they're eating, the speaker and his assistants take their parents and gather them in one corner of the room.
We're full now! But your parents are captured by goblins! We must save them!
It's time for a competition!
1. "Mummy"
The contestants must wrap one of them in toilet paper. Those who do it more carefully and quickly win.

2. "Swamp"
You must walk on hummocks and not fall into the swamp:
The participants take 2 A4 sheets of paper and walk on them to the finish. Those who do it faster and don't fall into the swamp win.

3. "Draw a witch"
The kids draw a witch in turns on a big paper with closed eyes. Winners must have the most truethful or original drawing.

4. "Apple Bobbling"
The kids have to take apples out of water with their hands behind them

5. "Guess the word"
The participants revise Halloween vocabulary and solve the puzzle

6. "Scavenger Hunt"
1) The kids are shown scary pictures with prepositions
2) Then they get the instructions:
- The werewolf is behind the table (2 pics of a werewolf)
- The witch is between the candles (2 pics of a witch)
- The ghost is in the box (2 pics)
- The vampire is on the window (2 pics)
- The bat is next to the bottle (1 pic)
- The pumpkin is in front of the door (1 pic)
- The monster is on the table. (1 pic)
- The mummy is next to the door.( 2 pics)
- The black cat is on the box.( 1 pic)
The kids have to find the pictures. On the back side of each picture there's a letter and when all the pictures are gathered there appears a message on a whatman - pictures in certain order:
1. werewolf - H                     7. witch - A                           13. mummy - E
2. witch - A                            8. vampire - L                      14. black cat - N
3. ghost - P                           9. vampire - L
4. ghost - P                           10. pumpkin - O
5. bat - Y                               11. monster - W

After they have found all the pics they unite and decipher the message - HAPPY HALLOWEEN

To show the goblins that you aren't afraid and to save your parents you should go through the "Room of Fear"

"Room of Fear"
Participants enter a dark room with several boxes where there is different stuff. They have to touch it.

We've done it! We saved our parents! Let's give our parents presents!
"Cut off a sweet"
The kids (with closed eyes) have to cut off a sweet tied to a thread.
Well, everyone is happy! We've saved everybody! Now, let's have tea!
All the kids go to the tearoom to have tea
